Yumlish is on a mission to scale nutrition literacy and, to that end, provides tech-enabled, culturally adapted nutrition programs with a focus on underserved communities.

We are seeking a Performance Dietitian in the Dallas, TX area who is passionate about nutrition and working with young adults. Local applicants are preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Performance Dietitian (PD) provides nutrition education programming and services and is responsible for the quality of the such programs at yumlish. The PD works closely with staff and customers to grow and scale the nutrition programs. The PD will work with various stakeholders to increase awareness, enrollment, and retention in the programs. They will build a holistic program that identifies solutions, motivates participants, and provides competent education that meets the needs of the customers and participants. The PD will be responsible for curriculum and content creation/updates and compliance, will be the subject matter expert driving the innovation with our product team, and manage resources to create a positive experience for our participants. This role will provide day-to-day guidance to participants to meet their health and performance goals. The PD will report to the CEO.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and implement nutrition content and curriculum consistent with the goals of the program.

Develop and document nutritional plans for each individual.

Provide individual and/or group nutrition education and specific strategies for their implementation.

Coordination, data collection, input, analysis, records, etc. of all participant-related data.

Continuous program evaluation, implementation, and re-evaluation Research for improving programs.

Work closely with Program Manager and Product Manager to ensure monthly enrollment goals are met and appointments are staffed appropriately.

Establish standardized recipes and alter existing recipes to help meet participant health goals.

Own nutrition content and curriculum to ensure that it is delivered using the utmost quality measures that tie to performance KPI for the nutrition team.

Track data related to program goals, evaluate data and outcomes to assess program strengths and make changes as necessary, report metrics to supervisor.

Meet or exceed role’s KPI measures for enrollment and retention.

Update policy, procedures, and curriculum regularly to reflect current nutrition education standards, segmented population feedback, trends, and regular program evaluation.

Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned programs with in-depth understand of the standards of practice for each of these programs.

Interview and hire support staff, as needed.

Be self-sufficient, organized and willing to lead and manage the nutrition programming.

Develop, design, and distribute handouts and promotional items related to enrollment and retention in programs.

Provide suggestions to build process efficiencies.

Be an advocate and voice for the participants we serve and represent their needs to the product development team.

Plan, implement, and evaluate content and live events.

Contribute content to newsletters and social media sites.

Mission aligned — Outspoken on the intersection of health equity, chronic disease, food insecurity, and nutrition. Represent the yumlish brand and be able to speak to the importance of competent nutrition education at community meetings, media opportunities, conferences, webinars, and other events.

Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Education and Experience

3 years experience PREFERRED.

TX RD State License REQUIRED.

Registered Dietitian (RD) certification REQUIRED & Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) PREFERRED.

Personal Training or Physical Therapy experience PREFERRED.

Experience with community nutrition, program planning, management, and evaluation PREFERRED.

Food Safety Manager certification PREFERRED.

Experience working with patients that are underweight/overweight PREFERRED.

Bilingual in English/Spanish PREFERRED.

Experience in program management PREFERRED.

Skills and Abilities

Passionate about working with all age groups, especially young adults, as we all providing MNT and related programs in 1-1 and group settings Hands on and committed to the success of the programs Extremely organized and self-motivated.

Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established dietetic protocols Demonstrated ability with group training or experience in community nutrition or community health education.

Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, email, Google Drive/G Drive, and internet research.

Ability to work independently with little supervision. Ability to be flexible with working hours to meet the needs of the participants and requested class schedules.

Ability to multi-task with projects with attention to detail and accuracy while adhering to deadlines in a high energy, fast paced environment.

Ability to work with others and delegate appropriate tasks.

Ability to work cooperatively under pressure with a diverse range of people.

Exercise good judgment and discretion, strong ethical character capable of handling confidential information.

Ability to grow with the needs of a small and growing company Must have valid drivers license and acceptable motor vehicle report.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
