Position Offered: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer-Fixed Term Track-Nutrition and Dietetics Program
Job Description: The College for Health, Community and Policy Coordinated Program in Dietetics at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is seeking applications for a Fixed Full Time Term track (FTT) faculty position beginning in January 2022. The new faculty will teach 4 undergraduate nutrition and dietetic courses/practicums in the fall and spring semesters, with 20% service. Service duties can include administrative support work, accreditation data collection and reporting, course development, student recruitment, committee representation, site placement visits and community outreach activities. Course modality is primarily face-to-face.
Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Public Health, Community Health or Health Promotion is required. A minimum of two years’ experience working as a registered dietitian. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) credential. Licensure as a dietitian in the state of Texas.
Preferred Qualifications: Record of excellence in university-level teaching. Record of excellence in precepting dietetic students. Strong skills in organizing, planning and executing projects and programs. Excellent time management, effective oral and written communication skills and strong computer skills.
Working Conditions; Some travel is required to meetings and site placements.
