DESCRIPTION:
Core responsibilities of the Health & Nutrition Specialist includes custom production development, including menu, recipes, diet extensions, texture modifications, meal production, inventory, and ordering within eMenuManage®. Develop and maintain a coordinated focus toward training and technical support for customers with our eMenuManage® system including the HIPPA compliant resident/patient resident preference and nutritional assessment components within the system.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: (Primary accountability for specific functions and results)
Engage in sales initiatives through participation in health and nutrition exhibits by demonstrating
eMenuManage® system capabilities and educating attendees value added solutions.
• Assist Sales Managers and Sales Reps by supporting sales and marketing efforts
• Provide nutritional information on products and diet restrictions per sales force and customer base inquiries
• Promote product lines to increase sales and account access to target products
• Understand the sales process and participate in a collaborative relationship with sales and marketing
Develop and manage eMenuManage® services to designated accounts including training and technical
support in promoting profitable sales.
• Use independent judgment to develop custom/technical solutions for individual customer requirements.
• In addition to healthcare accounts process special menu projects for youth and education menu programs in
support of federal and state nutritional regulations.
• Attend classes/seminars to remain up to date on required dietary regulations.
• Coordinate with department manager on any customer special project requests, i.e., other data file sharing
requests, report requests, etc. which may require cross or multi-department solutions.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed
Provide technical support for both commercial and non-commercial customer accounts
• Complete training will be provided on Ben E Keith internal systems

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• College Degree in Dietetics Required, Registered Dietitian Licensure Highly Preferred
• Knowledgeable in the federal and state rules and regulations for long-term care facilities, assisted living,
independent communities, acute care, rehab care, correctional facilities, and child nutrition programs
• Must maintain CEU requirements and licensure to stay informed of regulatory changes.
• Obtain and maintain ServSafeTM Certification
• Limited travel may occur

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to write reports, correspondence and communications
• Ability to effectively present information to vendors, customers and employees in a written and or verbal format
• Ability to work successfully in team environment under tight deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects, assignments and tasks, monitoring use of time and appropriately using
equipment, facilities and materials to provide timely and quality responses.
• Ability to learn and use Ben E. Keith applications including Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Knowledgeable in the federal and state rules and regulations for long-term care facilities, assisted living, independent communities, acute care, rehab care, correctional facilities, child nutrition programs and other business units as may be required to provide client nutrition information in the future
• Must maintain CEU requirements and licensure to stay informed of regulatory changes.
